I’m Muslim and I have been wearing a headscarf since I was six. It was my decision and it makes me feel happy and comfortable.
However, I have been the subject of racial abuse based on my Pakistani roots, and I have read news stories about others being targeted in the wake of Brexit.
Along with some other young people, I created a poster campaign with Fixers to call for a more united UK; we can’t let racist groups divide us because we are all humans.
The following Fixers helped me with this Fix:
Kirrin Takhar, Brathay Trust
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Tilly and Bella
Shak & Natasha
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
