After seeing a friend of mine deal with depression, I know how mental health issues can damage people’s lives.
She’d become really quiet whenever she was down and didn’t let people know how she was feeling.
I found that just listening gave her a sense that she wasn’t alone.
She is doing a lot better now and I feel there needs to be more of a dialogue around the issue of mental health in young people.
With Fixers, my team and I have created a poster campaign to encourage more people to open up about their feelings.
Hopefully, it will inspire others to talk about their problems, which I believe is the key towards recovery.
I would like to thank Sarah Linden and Alexander Mercer for helping me with this Fix.
