Name: Rebekka Howie
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2016
Location: Paisley, Scotland
Campaign: To encourage people to be more tolerant of different sexualities

Although I was born a girl, I sometimes live life as a boy.

I just wake up and know which gender I want to be. It’s a feeling that’s hard to explain but comes under the term 'gender fluid', which is used to describe a person who identifies with both sexes.

Sometimes the thought of wearing a skirt is really unappealing and then other days, it’s what I feel most comfortable in.

The journey to accepting who I am has been long, not least because some people in my life haven’t been very tolerant.

When I was in school I came out as a lesbian and was the victim of bullying.

Thankfully the bullying stopped when I went to university, and my family and friends have been very

supportive.

I hope my Fixers film encourages people to be more tolerant of others.

Don’t be the person who doesn’t accept that we’re all the same, no matter our sexuality.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
