I started caring for my mum, who has arthritis, and my dad, who has spinal problems, when I was 14.
I have to do things like taking my dad, who is in a wheelchair, to hospital appointments.
At one point I almost gave up on my dream of going to uni because it was so difficult combining my school work with what I needed to do for my family.
Luckily I had a teacher and a support worker who understood and encouraged me - and I got the grades I needed to go to university.
I have made a badge with Fixers which reads: ‘Young Carers Dream Too.’
I want to inspire other young people to see they don’t have to let being a young carer hold them back.
