Campaign: | To challenge regional stereotypes |
I grew up in Fallin, a former pit village in Stirling, Scotland.
Unfortunately it has developed a reputation for being rough over the years, which is quite hurtful because I consider it my home.
Regional stereotypes like these exist in many communities. If you come from a nice area you’re automatically seen as being “posh”.
It’s my view that we should try to see an individual for who they are and not where they’re from.
I hope my Fixers campaign can go some way towards changing these attitudes.
