Campaign: To tackle negative stereotypes about young mums

I gave birth to my daughter when I was 20-years-old.

It’s something which completely changed my life, but I love being a mum.

Unfortunately, I think young parents often get negatively stereotyped by those who don’t think they’re capable of looking after a child.

People make certain comments or look at you in a funny way, which can be really hurtful.

My team and I are working with Fixers to show that having a child at an early age doesn’t automatically make you a bad mum.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Michelle Lawler

Chelsea Henderson

Kirsty Day

Natasha Conyon

Joanne Gorrie

Darcy Hughes

Leighanne Manders

Heather Thorburn

Chloe Wilson

Georgia Cassidy

Jade Finlay

Nakisha Aubeeluck

Natasha Marshall
