I am often left hospital-bound by invisible illnesses that leave me exhausted and in extreme pain.
With my Fixers project I want to challenge people’s perception of disability and show that just because you can’t see someone’s illness, it doesn’t mean it’s not there.
I have lived with ME and Fibromyalgia since I was nine and I am fed up with people doubting that I am unwell.
As a keen photographer I am putting together a photography exhibition to try to create more compassion for people living with invisible illnesses.
I hope my project will encourage others to be less judgemental of people that suffer from conditions that are not visible.
