I began suffering from depression and anxiety when I was 13. The worst thing was, I couldn’t pinpoint what the cause was. I suddenly began feeling sad and I cried all the time.
This meant I found it hard to explain what was wrong, and some people were impatient with me. But my mum was there with me every step of the way.
I want others with mental illness to know that there is always support out there, and you should never give up looking for it.
I know not everyone is as lucky as me to have such a supportive family, but I want others to know that there is always someone to talk to.
At the time, you feel like no-one will understand you, but they will always respect what you have to say and will find a way to help you.
I would like to thank Kyle Anderson, Chloe Kellie and Ellie Home for helping me with this Fix.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
