Bees pollinate 75 per cent of our crops and without them we’d lose a lot of our food sources. But their population is suffering a drastic decline – partly because of a loss of the habitat where they forage for food.
I want people to know more about the challenges that bees face and what we as individuals can do to help them.
Fixers has helped me and a group of my friends to produce a booklet which we’re circulating around local schools.
It spells out why people should be concerned about the bee crisis – and what plants they can grow in their gardens to give them a better chance.
