I was verbally and physically bullied growing up. It got so bad that I had to move schools.
The worst part of the experience was being ignored by teachers and being made to feel like I was in the wrong instead of being the victim.
I feel that there can be a lack of support in the classroom for pupils who are being picked on.
For this reason I’m working with Fixers to help teachers spot the signs if somoene is being bullied.
It’s important that victims feel supported and know they’re not alone.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Natalie Jones supported this project by proving an interview for the ITV News item.
Joe Hambleton provided facilities at the college and a focus group of teachers for the broadcast shoot.
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Tilly and Bella
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
