I was raised in a single parent family from the age of three, after my father left the family home.
It hasn’t always been easy for me, my mum or my siblings.
I’ve put up with prejudicial remarks, listened to out dated opinions, and been the recipient of negative stereotyping.
No one should have to feel stigmatised because they live with one parent.
With Fixers, I hope to showcase the myriad jobs mothers take on and to change at least one person’s opinion on lone parent families.
Hopefully, my mug will inspire others in my situation to be confident and appreciate that one mum has many roles.
Wendy Rogers, Coleg Gwent provided meeting space for my project. Thank you.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
