I live with Tourette’s syndrome and feel that there are many misconceptions about the condition. In my view, the media only tends to show the most extreme versions of Tourette’s, which can be quite frustrating for those of us whose symptoms are less noticeable.Over time, my tics have decreased in severity and frequency and I’ve learned to suppress them, but it’s still a daily struggle to do so.With Fixers, I want to show others that just because Tourette’s isn’t always obvious, doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Suzanne Dobson, Tourettes Action
Suzanne Dobson supports my Fix. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in my broadcast piece.
Shak & Natasha
Tilly and Bella
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
