Casey

Name: Casey Deckey
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2015
Location: Weybridge, Surrey
Campaign: To show people how to support those who may be self-harming

I have self-harmed in the past and know it’s a lonely place to be.

You can feel as if nobody cares and that people don't understand what you’re going through.

My team and I are working with Fixers to make others aware that they can support those who have experienced self-harm.

It’s something that affects many my age so the more we can help people understand, the better.

If those with similar experiences knew they had someone to talk to, they might feel less alone and more comfortable in coming forward.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Amy-Marie Logan Brooklyn Gregory
Daniel Lewis Imogen Wilsher
Lauren Ditchburn Levi Ash
Sinead Phillips Sofia Cipolla
Umar Mir Gianni Toro

Heathrow Community Fund

Heathrow Community Fund is part of the independently run grant-making charity LHR Airport Communities Trust. Through their grant programme, they support significant and positive change for communities near the airport.

They are backing our campaign and working in partnership with Fixers to give young people, like us, the chance to make a difference.
