I developed alopecia at the age of seven. It’s a condition that makes your hair fall out. When I was younger it didn’t really bother me, but I gradually became more conscious of it.I remember going to the GP, who said that it was just one of those things and I wasn’t offered any support. At school, the other children would ask “have you got cancer?” which made me feel quite low. Now, I’ve embraced who I am and have been able to take control of my condition. With Fixers, I’m working on a short animated film to raise awareness of alopecia and to help others find support.
