When I was at school, LGBT issues weren’t really spoken about, which caused feelings of isolation. The fact that it isn’t always talked about can make the topic feel taboo.I'm concerned that young LGBT students end up feeling negative about themselves and as if they don't belong. That’s why, with Fixers and the rest of my team, I’ve created a resource pack for teachers to use in schools to raise awareness of sexual diversity. All young people should be included at school – they shouldn’t feel isolated and alone.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Tilly and Bella
Shak & Natasha
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
