Name: Charlotte Lenman
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2015
Location: High Wycombe
Campaign: To help other young people feel better about their insecurities

When I was 14 my hair started to fall out. I had alopecia and my confidence plummeted.

Although it’s grown back, it was a traumatic experience that had a big effect on my self-esteem.

I now want to help others who are low in confidence to feel better about their insecurities.

With Fixers, I created an exhibition to challenge people’s perceptions of themselves and increase their self-esteem.

I hope my campaign will help others to face their confidence issues head-on. Everyone has things about themselves that they don’t like. You’re not alone.

Jules Bartlett

Jules Bartlett, a young people's therapist, supports my Fix. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in my broadcast piece.
