Zoe & Ashley

Name: Zoe Hoult and Ashley Day
Age: 18
Year of the Fix: 2015
Location: Staffordshire
Campaign: To help young people stay in education, employment or training

There can be lots of reasons why young people aren’t in college or don’t have a job.

For us, it was down to moving cities and issues with anxiety.

While we’re both now back at college, we know what it’s like to be NEET – not in education, employment or training.

We understand how hard it can be to gain the skills necessary to progress, and want to share with other young people all the things we wish we’d known when we finished school.

With Fixers, we've helped create a film to offer young people information on job interviews, how to write a covering letter and how to budget - all vital skills that they'll need when they are no longer in education.

We feel that everybody deserves a second chance and hope that our project will help others to get a job or get back into training.

Here is a list of Fixers helping us with this Fix:

Amy Evans Dave Thomas
Emma Jennings Floyd Philips
Harry Smith Jo Micklewright
Leighton Rogerson Megan Jones
Ross Cawton Sam Ball
Sophie Clements Tommy Angel

Trudie McGuinness, South Staffordshire College

Trudie supports our Fixers project. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in our broadcast piece.

Ruth Sabin, E.Quality Training Limited
Ruth has supported us throughout our project. She provided us with meeting space and locations to film.
