I live with mental ill health that has meant in the past I’ve had to visit A&E for help.
While there I felt that the staff were ill-equipped to support me and I ended up feeling unsafe and paranoid.
Eventually I left the hospital and returned home on my own.
When at a crisis point, those with mental ill health should feel that they have somewhere to go where they can feel secure.
Training staff within the health care industry would mean that those admitted to hospital would receive specialised care.
Everyone should have the opportunity to receive help and feel positive about their recovery.
My Fixers project is supported by Simplyhealth which helps people care for their everyday health through health cash plans, dental plans and independent living solutions.
With over 140-years of history in the healthcare market, the organisation is working in partnership with Fixers to help support young people to have their voices heard on the subject of mental health.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
