As a group, we’ve witnessed and experienced the effects of social anxiety in young people at school.
It can cause students to feel anxious when called upon to answer a question or speak in front of the class.
Pupils could even end up skipping lessons out of fear.
We want to encourage teachers to be more aware of the signs of social anxiety in a student, so they can try to avoid situations which could make it worse.
