Campaign: To get young people more engaged in politics

I’ve been interested in politics since I was 12, and feel it’s unfortunate that others my age don’t share the same enthusiasm.

If they knew how politics affected their lives, I believe more would feel motivated to participate.

With a proposed referendum on whether we stay in the European Union coming up in the not too distant future, young people need to be informed before they vote.

My team and I are working with Fixers to educate young people about how their vote could make a difference.

Hopefully our campaign can help to inspire a generation to get engaged in politics and have their voices heard.

Lilian Fawcett and Sophie Giltinan are helping me with this Fix.

Dr Lisa Harrison, Political Scientist at UWE, supports this project. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in my broadcast piece.
