In 2014, my 18-year-old brother took his own life.
Along with my cousins Caitlin and Connor, I now want to raise awareness of teenage depression. We’re worried that it isn’t always taken seriously and that sometimes it can be dismissed as just a side effect of puberty or adolescent hormones.
This can be harmful as it can prevent young people from getting the help they need.
We want to see a change in attitudes, so that everyone can recognise that depression can affect any age group.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Emma Agar, Durham County Council
Senior Youth Worker, Emma Agar, supports our Fix. Emma originally put us in touch with Fixers then attended meetings with us.
Shak & Natasha
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
