Our team has discovered that child labour is a real problem in some countries around the world. In Ghana, one in sixchildren aged 6 to 14 are made to work.
This worries us, as we believe they should have the freedom to get an education and enjoy their childhood.
As part of our research into this topic, we carried out some surveys at a local college. We discovered that very few young people understood what child labour means and only a handful knew about the kind of jobs these children do.
With Fixers, we want to raise awareness of the problem. We want to show people how to identify when goods may have involved child labour. Hopefully this will enable everyone to make better and more ethical choices.
