We are a group of young people with type 1 diabetes.
It’s a condition that we have to monitor and manage every day, as our bodies can’t check our blood glucose levels for us, or produce the insulin that we need.
It requires constant attention. Keeping up with diabetes is a lot of effort, which is something that we feel isn’t always recognised by those working in healthcare. With Fixers, we want to give medical professionals an insight into a day in the life of someone with type 1 diabetes.
We hope we can show them that there’s far more to it than injections.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
