Campaign: | To show employers what those with learning disabilities can offer |
We are a group of young people from the Aurora Centre at South Thames College and we all have a range of learning disabilities.
When it comes to employment, we all feel that our valuable skills aren’t always acknowledged because employers can often overlook us.
We’re all capable of various tasks and we want to be able to put these to good use.
Hopefully one day this means we can earn our own money and live independently.
With our campaign, we want to urge places of work to be more open-minded about who they hire and recognise what people can offer.
