At the age of seven, I was hit by a bus, which left me with permanent brain damage. As I got older, I noticed that people were treating me differently and I began to feel isolated and alone, which led to depression.I’m a lot better now and one of the things I’ve realised is that talking to someone really helps. With Fixers, I’ve helped produce a short film to show other young men with depression that they’re not alone.I hope it will inspire them not to turn people away if they’re trying to help – as there’s always support available.
My Fixers project is supported by Simplyhealth which helps people care for their everyday health through health cash plans, dental plans and independent living solutions.
With over 140-years of history in the healthcare market, the organisation is working in partnership with Fixers to help support young people to have their voices heard on the subject of mental health.QuarriersThe team at Quarriers support my Fix. They've helped facilitate my project.
