My team and I believe there’s a problem with prejudice and misunderstanding when it comes to mental ill health.
To some extent, it’s still seen as a taboo subject and we feel there are barriers that need to be broken down.
Mental health issues affect many young people. Statistics show that three in each classroom will live with conditions such as depression and anxiety.
With Fixers, we want to show others the importance of offering help to those they suspect may be suffering in silence.
We hope they will recognise that no matter how small the gesture, extending the hand of friendship to someone in need can make a huge difference.
