Name: Hannah Upton
Age: 18
Year of the Fix: 2015
Location: Greenhithe, Kent
Campaign: To make sure that young people are clear about sexual consent

It upsets me when I hear stories on the news about young women being raped or sexually assaulted.

It makes me feel unsafe and vulnerable.

My group and I have worked on a Fixers campaign, to show the importance of consent when it comes to sex.

We hope it will help people understand what consent is, while also encouraging victims to speak out about abuse.

It’s vital that those affected can come forward and aren’t left feeling alone.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Alex Doody Lauren Dempsey
Amy Mulcany Lauren Sweeney
Anna Barnes Mary Redmond
Bethany Warren Michaela Brooks
Daniel Gray Nancy Bird
Daniel Scott Olivia Nicholson
Emily Mellon Perry Ripley
Grace Knowles Priya Patel
Harry Barnett Ramandeep Mayer
Jack Upton Sarah Salmon
Jamie Pearton Sophia Taylor
Joshua Sweeney Sophie Badham
Josie Horton Stephanie Jones

As part of the Cabinet Office initiative ‘Step Up to Serve’, which is spearheaded by HRH the Prince of Wales, Fixers is working in partnership with the Youth Social Action Fund (YSAF) to offer the Fixer experience specifically to young people aged between 16 and 20 in Birmingham and parts of Kent.

The Miskin Theatre

Nikki Moore is the theatre administrator and supported our Fixers project by providing space for us to hold our film launch on Friday 20th March.
