Rachel Collins

Rachel Collins

Name: Rachel Collins
Age: 22
Year of the Fix: 2015
Location: Brighton
Campaign: To show others the positive impact of working out

In the past, I was a couch potato. I’d come home from work, eat dinner and spend the rest of the evening in front of the TV and as a result I would feel quite low and have little confidence.

Taking up exercise is definitely one of the most positive things I’ve ever done. As well as benefitting me physically, it’s also had a big impact on my mental health.

I’m now more confident and come home from classes feeling upbeat.

With Fixers, I want to show other young people that exercise can really help in all areas of life.

They could find it’s the first step to improving their wellbeing.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Chloe Pound

Ellie Pearson

Jones Hambling

Libby Pearson

Dr Becky Jarvis

Dr Jarvis supports my Fix. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in my broadcast piece.

Zuzana Strbakova, Personal Trainer
Zuzana has also given my project her backing. She featured in my TV film.
