Name: Leigh-Ann Ncube
Age: 23
Year of the Fix: 2015
Location: Basildon, Essex
Campaign: To encourage young people to make choices that are right for them

I think that many young people are unsure of what they want to do in life.

When at school, they might just follow the crowd, rather than being themselves.

Being a twin, I felt I was often compared to my sister growing up and she was more academic than me.

We both chose to do A-Levels but it didn’t suit me and I ended up failing my first year, which left me really low on confidence.

Everyone has different abilities and ways of showing their intelligence. I found that my strengths lay in more creative things, like writing.

With Fixers, I want to empower young people to choose a path that’s right for them.

They shouldn’t feel influenced by others.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Charlie O'Connor

Kristin Knoulden

Laura Ncube

Lauren Percival

Peter Dennis

Reece McMillan

Eve Menezes Cunningham, Life Coach, has supported my Fix. She agreed to be interviewed for my broadcast piece.
