Campaign: To highlight the potential dangers of spending too much time online

While the internet is an incredibly rich source of information, spending too much time online can have its pitfalls.

In the past, I didn't realise that my interest in the internet was beginning to take over my life.

I would hurry home from college to log on to social networking sites, leaving my friends behind.

My attitude towards the internet has changed now, but back then I became socially isolated.

With Fixers, I want to warn other young people of the dangers of becoming preoccupied with what they see on a screen.

I’d like to help people find a better balance between socialising online and socialising in person, so they don’t become dependent on the internet.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Araf Perwaze Callum Richardson
Deanna Turley Hayley Doyle
Jade Richardson Laaraib Khan
Liam French Madeline Cowell
Paul Angus Rebecca Young
Sophie Iqbal

The Junction Foundation
The team at The Junction Foundation have given my Fix their backing. Support workers Hannah Longstaff and Ellen Mackay have helped to facilitate the project by allowing us to hold meeetings in their building.
