School can be a difficult time for some young people, especially those who experience bullying like I did.
It made me feel alone and as if nobody cared.
In an effort to prevent others going through what I went through, I’m working with Fixers to help people understand why bullies behave in the way they do.
From my experience, these people have issues of their own. It could be low self-esteem – or they may also have been bullied in the past.
While emphasis is usually put on the victims of bullying, I think it’s also important to see things from the other side.
If we look at what causes someone to become a bully, perhaps we can do more to stop others behaving in this way in the future.
Andrew Murray and Marinna Robertson helped me with this Fix.
