Modifying cars isn’t just a hobby, it’s a passion of mine.
A particular auto trend my team and I are interested is stance, which requires heavy modifications to be made to vehicles, using the high-quality parts to achieve the best results.
Unfortunately, my friends and I often get stopped by the police, who see us in souped-up vehicles and automatically think we’re up to no good.
We’re not boy racers. We’re just young people involved in the car scene.
Being wrongly labelled can be incredibly frustrating, because it’s like nobody trusts you. And having to explain yourself over and over again can be really tiring.
With Fixers, my team and I have produced a short film about the car modification scene, discussing stance and what it’s all about.
Hopefully, it will encourage police and people in positions of power to give us a chance and not judge us on the basis of what we drive.
