I’ve been dancing since I was very young and absolutely love it.
But I thought that my performing days were over after I was shot in the head six years ago while walking home with my friends.
Doctors said I was lucky to survive, but the incident really affected my self-esteem and I became socially withdrawn.
Thankfully, I found the courage to start dancing again, which gave me the confidence boost I needed to move on with my life.
My team and I are working with Fixers to show other young people that no matter what you’ve been through, creative arts could help you overcome it.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Art Psychotherapist, Adele Spiers
Adele supported our Fix by allowing to be interviewed for the ITV News broadcast in which she explained the importnace of being creative.
