Being unemployed can be very difficult to deal with.
Setback after setback, it’s often extremely disheartening and knocks your confidence.
It’s my view that some employers wrongly judge young people based on preconceived ideas or worry about taking on someone with little experience.
But without that first opportunity, it can feel like you’re constantly in a losing battle.
With Fixers, my team and I are challenging negative stereotypes that we think some employers have towards young jobseekers.
Hopefully our project will help them to understand that not all young people are bad and that most just want a chance to show what we can do.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Pete Ahmed, The Prince’s Trust
Pete supported our Fix by providing space and resources for our meetings to prepare this project. He also was very supportive of our ideas and made suggestions on the points to raise for our campaign.
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
Tilly and Bella
