I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD) at the age of 19.
It’s a condition which causes me to experience a range of emotions, including severe mood swings, anger and paranoia.
Sadly, I feel that it’s an illness which is widely misunderstood by many who often aren’t aware of how debilitating it can be.
Therefore, my team and I are working with Fixers to shed some light on BPD - a serious mental health condition that affects people in different ways.
I hope our campaign will stamp out the stigma around BPD and show others like myself that they don’t need to be ashamed and hide away.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Matt Bowen, University of Chester
Mr Bowen is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities at the University of Chester. He supported our Fix by providing an interview for the broadcast story.
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Tilly and Bella
Shak & Natasha
Fixers is a project of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, and featured on ITV.
