Campaign: To encourage victims of bullying to speak out

Growing up, I was bullied and it completely broke my confidence.

The verbal and physical abuse affected me a lot, and I didn't know why it was happening.

I was always too scared to speak about it, in case the bullies found out and thought I was a snitch, but thankfully I found the courage to tell my family, who were very supportive.

With Fixers, my team and I have helped to create a film, which shows victims the importance of speaking out about their issues.

I also want bullies to understand that what they’re doing can have serious lasting impacts on other people’s lives.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Chloe Milbanke

April Harwood

Leo Emmerson

Chantelle Poole

Bill Millburn

Bill is an actor and supported the Fix by playing the role of a teacher in our Fixers film.

December 2014

I was invited to present my Fix to the year 8 students at Thorp Academy in Newcastle on 5th December.

Approximately 150 pupils took part and many said they found my Fixers film very helpful and informative. Some even said it allowed them to better understand bullying and what to do if it happened to them.

The Head of Year 8, Adam Hutchins, also said the film delivered an important and clear message, and was appropriate for the year group.
