Social media and instant messaging can be a fun way to communicate and share information with friends.
But if used in the wrong way, there can be devastating legal implications, as I discovered myself.
Convicted for offences relating to misuse of electronic communication and social media as a teenager, I’ve learnt from my mistakes and now want to stop others from going down the same path.
With the help of Fixers, I’ve made a short film, which shows how posting or instant messaging sexually explicit material of those under 18 could result in prosecution.
Hopefully it will make others think twice about ‘sexting’.
The simple act of sharing a photo could lead to a criminal record.
