Before I was raped, I never thought it would happen to me. What makes it even worse is when people don’t believe you, or think that because a woman was dressed in a certain way, or had been drinking, that it’s somehow partly her fault.Initially, I felt other people were blaming me and I was too ashamed to stand up and tell them they were wrong. But the truth is there is absolutely no excuse for this crime. With Fixers, I want to campaign for better support for those who have been raped.I want those affected to be confident in speaking out and reporting what’s happened to them, so they never have to feel alone.
