Campaign: To encourage young people to explore the Lake District

The Lake District is a great place.  It offers some beautiful scenery and plenty of opportunities for young people to experience the outdoors.

But sadly many others our age are too preoccupied with playing computer games to get out and enjoy it!

With Fixers, my team and I want to show young people the benefits of exploring The Lakes, which form England’s largest national park.

Whether you’re inspired to try camping, hiking or canoeing, there are plenty of activities to choose from that don’t need to be expensive.

We hope that by encouraging our peers to visit the area we’ll help preserve it, and make it more appealing to generations of young people in the future.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Aidan Pattison

James Taylor

Lewis Davis

Robert Moore

Claire Dyson, a Project Officer for the Lake District National Park, is supporting our Fix. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in our broadcast piece.
