Chloe Gallagher

Name: Chloe Gallagher
Age: 17
Year of the Fix: 2014
Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk
Campaign: To challenge gender stereotyping in the workplace

My team and I believe that young people should be able to pursue a career of their choosing, unaffected by gender stereotypes.

But, there are still some people that seem to think that all girls should become hairdressers, while only a man can be a successful mechanic.

We want to tackle these views. It’s wrong that young people are left fearing that they’ll be bullied if they choose a path that isn’t necessarily expected of them.

With Fixers, we want to show that no-one should be judged based on the job they do - challenging preconceptions of traditional roles.

Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Ayiesha McCoy Rebecca Larter
Caitlin Chapman Rebecca Sutton
Carys Darlow Robin Williams
Connor Day Ryan Burchell
Kylie Godbold Savannah Scott
Rhys Duncan Shannon Walton
Teagen Farrow Matthew Smith
Mark Hannant Myles Cooper

Lowestoft College
