One thing I’m passionate about in life is art. Photography and writing poems allow me to express myself in a way that is very rewarding.
Sadly, many people assume art is a middle class thing, but in reality, anyone can get involved.
When I first became interested in taking photos, there wasn’t really any support for me.
Keen to prove my doubters wrong, I started Arts in Fife, a voluntary, media-based project, which seeks to promote up-and-coming artists in the area.
One of my proudest moments was when I was awarded a British Empire Medalfrom the Queen in Edinburgh formy efforts.
Now with Fixers, I’m campaigning to make the art world more inclusive and accessible for everyone.
There is a lot of talent out there, and it’s time they were given a chance to shine.
