Campaign: | To address issues like bullying through the performing arts |
The performing arts are a great way to keep young people off the streets while teaching them valuable life lessons.
As well as building confidence, activities like drama can also help teenagers develop the skills they need to deal with difficult situations.
My team and I want to make sure young people know how to react when confronted with issues such as bullying, drugs and anti-social behaviour.
So, with Fixers we’re planning to hold a series of theatre workshops thoughout the summer holidays.
During the sessions we’ll ask young people to imagine themselves in a situation then act out a response.
We hope to help them learn new things, make new friends and become more self-assured.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Loulou Hodge
Tiffany Rogers
Stevie Shylock
Jon Knight
Branden Walmsley
Georgina Vowles
Laura Parsons
Lori Ramsay, Youth Worker
Thank you to Lori for appearing in my broadcast to support my campaign and offer further information on the topic.
